Introduction to Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) Tutorial
After writing a five-part series on the key elements of a live-streaming service, I created an internal training course for Sky staff. It covered transcoding, packaging, encryption, origin servers and CDNs, and video quality.
For the CDN section, I made an annotated Prezi presentation. This tutorial post is from March 2018; its provider names, prices, performance figures and examples reflect that period. It embeds the same Prezi file as the 2016 Introduction to CDN’s course post: one deck, two archive pages, with different post dates.
