Speaking at TV Connect on 9th May

I’m grateful to have spoken on a panel at TV Connect in London Olympia on 9 May 2018, discussing “The Great Codec War”. The conference programme was at this agenda page; it may still open, but it no longer shows that codec session. Topics included:

• HEVC vs AV1: understanding the battleground

• Are there alternatives? What can effectively be done today?

• Can codecs ensure the future of your service through differentiating services

• In a fragmented video delivery world, is it really one size fits all?
